Now celebrating our 45th season, the Eugene Symphony is recognized as the cornerstone of the performing arts in Oregon’s southern Willamette Valley. Under the leadership of music director Danail Rachev, the Eugene Symphony pursues its mission to "enrich lives through the power of music" by presenting annual classical, pops and community outreach performances, regularly commissioning and premiering new American works, and disseminating its performances via radio broadcasts and recordings.

The Eugene Symphony celebrates its 45th anniversary season with an evening of audience favorites. Award-winning violinist Jennifer Frautschi takes center stage performing Lalo’s violin showpiece, Symphonie Espagnole. Mussorgsky’s spectacular masterwork, Pictures at an Exhibition, rounds out this colorful performance.

Pianist Jon Kimura Parker joins the Eugene Symphony in a performance of Tchaikovsky’s dazzling Piano Concerto— the perfect marriage of dramatic bravura and tender romanticism. This concert concludes with the telling of a musical story—a magical puppet who comes to life— in Stravinsky’s imaginative Petrushka.

Come see the Eugene Symphony's open reading of Mahler Symphony No. 9, conducted by Conductor Laureate Marin Alsop.  This special event will feature a side-by-side reading of Mahler's last-completed symphony with the University of Oregon's Symphony Orchestra.  Free and open to the public.
