Ian Kerr has been Principle Timpanist of the Eugene Symphony since the 2013-14 season. He also serves as Principle Percussionist/Timpanist of the Oregon Mozart Players, is Principle Percussionist of the Newport (OR) Symphony and a frequent substitute percussionist and timpanist with the Oregon Symphony.

As a busy freelance musician, Ian has performed with such stars as Styx, Clay Aiken, Smokey Robinson, Judy Collins, Boyz 2 Men, Pink Martini, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme.

An active educator, Ian serves as Adjunct Instructor of Percussion at Pacific University and George Fox University as well as being on the music history faculty at Portland State University.
