NEW TIME: The concert will begin at 7:30 pm

Join us starting at 6 pm to:

  • Snap a photo with realistic Star Wars cosplayers at a special photobooth in the lobby
  • Stop by the Eugene Symphony Marketing Table to enter our costume contest (please keep light sabers and blasters at home)
  • Build and race your own speeder in partnership with Bricks & Minifigs Eugene in the Studio
  • Get a close look at large-scale LEGO builds in the Jacobs Community Room

Lobby doors will open at 6 pm and you’ll be able to find your seat in the Silva Hall at 7 pm. The epic movie and live soundtrack performed by your Eugene Symphony will begin at 7:30 pm. We’ll see you there as Luke, Leia, and Han Solo triumph over Imperial Forces on February 25.

John Beal

Principal Conductor of the Hollywood Symphony Orchestra, John Beal has conducted a wide variety of film scores and concerts with many of the world’s greatest musicians, from the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, the National Orchestra of Belgium and The City of Prague Philharmonic, the National Symphony of Malaysia and the Evergreen Symphony of Taiwan, as well as major symphony orchestras throughout the United States and Canada, including several decades with the Hollywood Studio Symphony Orchestra. Maestro Beal has arranged and conducted orchestras on albums and in concerts and television with very diverse artists ranging from the world premiere of Rocketman: Live in Concert with Sir Elton John and Taron Egerton, the world premiere of Chicago Live in Concert and the world premiere of Respect Live in Concert, the world premiere orchestral concert of Electronica DJ Deadmau5, the world premiere of Serengeti Live with Lola Lennox, the U.S. concert debut of Olivia Newton-John, and television and records for singers Gladys Knight, Ella Fitzgerald, and B.B. King. Mr. Beal created music for 45 theatrical features, television films and documentaries, 26 major network series or specials, and 35 national advertisers. Working with Walt Disney Imagineering, he produced music for Disneyland and Walt Disney World theme parks, and is also internationally recognized for composing original scores for the marketing of over 2,000 major studio projects, including Star Wars, Titanic, Forrest Gump, Aladdin, Braveheart, The Matrix, and The Last Samurai.

MOC Build Contest with Bricks & Minifigs Eugene


Eugene Symphony and Bricks & Minifigs Eugene have joined forces to host a LEGO Star Wars build contest in celebration of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi on Saturday, February 25 at the Hult Center!

Here are the rules:

  • Submit by February 10
  • Only open to ages 17 and under
  • Maximum base size: 16" wide x 16" long
  • Must be an original creation related to the Star Wars universe
  • Cannot be built from a packaged kit or set, although you may use parts from a packaged kit or set
  • Brick color is not important: tans and grays aren't required!

Winners will be announced on Wednesday, February 15 at an event at Bricks & Minifigs Eugene.
